Why do you engage with Girls Play Footy?

In 2018, Girls Play Footy will celebrate its fifth anniversary, having been established in 2013.

In the earlier years, it was much easier to engage with supporters of Girls Play Footy, but in becoming one of the largest media outlets focused solely on a women’s sport in Australia, that has become a much more difficult task.

However, thanks to a research project focused on women’s sports media funded and administered by La Trobe University, we have the opportunity to hear your thoughts about Girls Play Footy.

The research project ‘Not the Sport Pages: Women Making Independent Sports Media Products’ is conducted by Merryn Sherwood of La Trobe University, and takes into account the reasons why consumers of women’s sports media products engage as they do.

By filling out a survey which will take approximately 5-10 minutes to compete, your answers will be used as part of the research project, as well as give us some extremely valuable feedback.
