The finals have arrived in the Swisse Wellness VFL Women’s competition, and it all kicks off today with a Semi-Finals double header at Piranha Park (City Oval), Coburg.
The last time women’s finals footy was at Coburg, a crowd of more than 4,000 watched the Grand Final; post AFLW season one, will we see another big crowd on hand to watch two finals back-to-back?
From 10am (AEST) join Peter Holden, Matthew Cocks and Niamh Felton on RSN Carnival for our one-hour pre-game show, then all the action of the minor Semi-Final between Melbourne University and the St Kilda Sharks.
Can Brianna Davey, Jasmine Garner, Maddison Gay or Tilly Lucas-Rodd help the Sharks break their finals hoodoo, or will the like of Emma Kearney, Ellie Blackburn and Kaitlyn Ashmore see the Mugars advance to the Preliminary Final?
Then at 1pm, Katie Lambeski and Lucy Watkin join Peter and Matthew to call the major Semi-Final between old foes Darebin and Diamond Creek.
Katie Brennan and Daisy Pearce have been in red hot form for the Falcons as they help their club chase its 10th flag in 12 years, but will the Creekers’ new recruits in Chloe Molloy, Sophie Abbatangelo and Emma Grant spoil Darebin’s party?
