Diamond Creek has booked its ticket to Etihad Stadium next Sunday, but who will join the Creekers in the 2017 VFL Women’s Grand Final?
We find out the answer this afternoon when the Darebin Falcons and St Kilda Sharks clash in the Preliminary Final at Piranha Park (City Oval) in Coburg.
Last weekend the Sharks, with Brianna Davey on the bench for the second half, played out of their skins to knock off Melbourne University and win their first final in ten years.
At the other end of the scale, the Falcons played possibly their worst game in a very long time, with all their stars looking unusually flat.
Will the likes of Daisy Pearce and Elise O’Dea bounce back from a lacklustre performance last Sunday and guide their team to the Grand Final, or will Jenna Bruton and Jasmine Garner again lead the way for St Kilda and in doing so help the Sharks shake off their ‘inconsistent’ tag?
To follow all the action, join the Girls Play Footy Radio team – Peter Holden, Matthew Cocks, Katie Lambeski and Niamh Felton – at 1.30pm for a one-hour pre-game show, then the live play-by-play coverage.
In Melbourne, listen the call on Digital Radio by tuning to RSN Carnival, or throughout the world download the the RSN Racing and Sport app.
Those at the ground can also listen to the commentary delay free on 89.1 FM. You can also listen via the link provided below.
