After a week off for the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, the VFL Women’s competition returns with a special event: the ‘Gay? That’s OK’ Pride match between Melbourne University and Darebin in Hamilton.
Live from 2:00pm (AEST) at Melville Oval, the Girls Play Footy Radio team will be presenting a one hour pre-game show, including a preview of all the community women’s footy leagues, plus the call of the game from the first bounce at 3:00pm.
The game will see the return of AFLW players Cecilia McIntosh and Aasta O’Connor for the Mugars and Falcons respectively, while the AFLW Rising Star from the Adelaide Crows, Ebony Marinoff, will make her VFLW debut for Darebin.
With Melbourne University undefeated so far, and Darebin sitting in an unfamiliar position with two wins and two loses early, expect both sides to be bringing their A-game today.
To listen to the match in Melbourne, switch to RSN Carnival on your digital radio; otherwise listen via the live stream provided below, or download the RSN Racing and Sport app from iTunes or Google Play and click on Carnival.
Today’s other VFLW match sees Seaford take on Cranbourne at Casey Fields from 4:30pm, with the match live video streamed via the VFL website.
