It’s an action packed round six of the VFL Women’s competition with our Match of the Day on RSN Carnival being the battle between the Geelong Cats and Melbourne University.
Live from 10:00am (AEST) at St Mary’s Oval, Kardinia Park, the Girls Play Footy Radio team will be presenting a one hour pre-game show, including a preview of all the women’s community leagues around the state, plus the call of the game from the first bounce at 10:45am.
Both teams suffered a loss last week, with Geelong going down by 27 points against the Spurs and the Mugars losing a one-goal thriller against Darebin.
For Melbourne Uni, it’s the side’s second road trip in the space of a week, so will an early game an hour out from home mean a sluggish start and an advantage for the Cats?
The game is also part of a double-header with the men’s AFL match, so expected a large, vocal crowd supporting the home team.
To listen to the match in Melbourne, switch to RSN Carnival on your digital radio; otherwise listen via the live stream provided below, or download the RSN Racing and Sport app from iTunes or Google Play and click on Carnival.
Those attending the game are encouraged to bring their radio so they can hear the call delay free on 89.1 FM.
Today’s other VFLW matches include Darebin hosting Box Hill, Seaford travelling to St Kilda, Cranbourne hosting the Eastern Devils, while this afternoon at 2pm, the VFL website video stream match is the top of the table clash between Diamond Creek and the VU Western Spurs.
